Outlook Express Email Recovery

I have an older computer, works ok, but I’d like to free up some space. I thought if I could remove all the emails from Outlook Express, that would free up a lot of memory, space, etc. I want to save the emails on a disc, (they are all ones I don’t want to lose) but I don’t know how – other than doing one email at a time. There must be a better way?
Instructions will have to be easy – I can edit pictures, work on Excel a bit, same as Word, but I have NO idea how to program or how to do anything too difficult.
